Kwik Model is an application for quickly and easily creating a 3D computer model of a house with no CAD software or CAD experience. It performs Manual J heating and cooling loads, Manual S equipment selection and Manual D duct design via the underlying EnergyGauge tool, ACCA-approved software developed by the Florida Solar Energy Center. Sold as a package under a single license, they run together as one powerful design tool.
Kwik Model accurately calculates area take-offs required for heating and cooling load calculations and energy simulations. These are summarized in easy to read tables and can be exported in spreadsheet format. It can draw HVAC ducts, equipment, registers and fittings to scale. Ducts can be sized manually or automatically.
Kwik Model is currently available only for the Windows operating system. Mac users can still access Kwik Model by using a Windows virtualization program such as Parallels or VMWare, a virtual Windows machine in the cloud via Windows 365, or latest technology that translates Windows commands into Mac commands (without needing Windows itself) with CodeWeavers' CrossOver for Mac.
