These products are fully adhered to the sheathing substrate and include "air barrier" as a product feature in our library. They are considered weather resistant barriers (as opposed to water resistive) since they provide both bulk water AND air leakage control.
We recommend fully adhered WRBs as a best practice for both long-term bulk water management and airtightness. An even better practice is to pair an adhered WRB with rainscreen or enhanced drainage detailing. A small selection of products provide both functions: they are fully adhered and have an integrated rainscreen material.
